Dear Church family,

We want to share with you the steps we are taking in light of the in COVID-19 situation in Hong Kong. The health and safety of our church members is one of our top priorities so we thank you for your understanding and patience as we navigate through these difficult times and continue to take the necessary precautions. As we are livestreaming our Sunday Celebration, we are also having live online lessons for our Building Blocks children via Zoom. For more information, click on “Attend Online”.

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS BACK

Our Building Blocks live online lessons take place every Sunday from 9:15am to 9:45am via Zoom where the Building Blocks children are able to interact with one another and the teachers over a time of worship, bible story and activities. Curriculum

In Building Blocks, we use the curriculum "Bible Studies For Life" by LifeWay as the backbone for our lessons. We modify lesson activities to meet children's varying abilities and learning needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

1What will my child do in Building Blocks?

Children will worship God, learn Biblical truths, engage in activities, and connect with friends in fun and creative ways.

2What age group does Building Blocks serve?

We welcome children from 3 years old through grade 5 (or 10-11 years old) and with all learning needs as teachers differentiate instruction to make learning meaningful for everyone.

3I’m bringing my infant/toddler to church. What’s Building Blocks like for them?

Currently, we do not have a program for infants and toddlers. However, we have a safe and fun space designed for them near the parent seats so you can keep an eye on them. We provide some toys and books for the children, but you are welcome to bring snacks, and toys your child likes from home.

4What if my child is sick?

To ensure the health of other children and teachers in the classroom, we strongly advise parents to keep their children at home if they show any symptoms of illness like coughing, a runny nose, diarrhea, vomiting, and a fever. Note that children should be fever free for 24 hours without medication before you can bring them to Building Blocks. Additionally, during the Covid-19 Pandemic, children need to wear a face mask at all times.

5How do I know my child will be safe?

Your child's safety is important to us, as we understand you have entrusted your precious ones in our care. We have different structures in place for all the teachers to ensure the safety of your children: church membership; interview process; evaluation; accountability; child safety; and ongoing teacher training.
